Tomorrow I'll be getting this baby female rock python that I won on reptileauctions.com. This is my first with this species, but I'm hoping she's going to be similar to the burms I've kept in the past, being very tame and somewhat active, but not overly so. Russo or anyone have any advice for me?

Well lots of handling bro. They are more like Retics than Burms, but got the Anaconda attitude not completly trust worthy. I got 3 two of them are cool one is a Bitch. Best of luck with her any info you need just ask. I Love Rocks ! ! !

Just got her out of the box today, I guess it came to my mom's house on thurs. She's awesome looking, about 3', a little skinny and a shade or 2 lighter than in the pic I posted. I'll try and get some pics next weekend as my camera is out of batteries.

She's doing great, almost 4' now and eating 3 or 4 mice a week. I loaned my new camera to someone for the week, but maybe in about 2 weeks I can get some better pictures. She's very hyperactive, won't sit still and she likes to lunge at your face around feeding time if she smells a mouse within 10 feet. Other than that she's awesome.

Thanks, I'd love to see some new pics of yours, haven't seen em in like a year. Hope they're doing ok.
Anyways, in a week or less I'm getting a 6' male named Elochai from someone on NERD for $50. So far it's been a pretty good week for me besides missing 2 days of work.

Here's a new pic of my first one, about 4' long now(2-3 inches this week!). The bottle is a 32oz sam adams.

Well...that first one I got from reptileauctions turned out to be male like I suspected, so I have a pair and a 6' male arriving around july 4th. The little girlie isn't eating yet, so I'm going to have to trade her in tomorrow for a little healthier one that I don't have to nurse back/into health as I don't have the time right now. Should I sell one of the males, get a new female, or try the almost unheard of rock/retic/burm breeding?

Well 1.2 would be better than 2.1 that 4 sure. But the breeding project your thinking about is a long shot try breeding Rocks 2 Rocks 1st. to get your feet wet. My Dad might want a male from you.

Ya, the males are the best ones I've got too. This one is very fast and won't hold still unless you hold it for over an hour. He eats like crazy too, couple small rats a week and seems to be bigger every time you see him.
